Who are you?

My research is about academic integrity and corruption in higher education. I’m currently based in the Office of Teaching and Learning, but joined Coventry University on 1st September 1990 as a lecturer in computer science. I have been coordinating the Academic Integrity Review during the 2019-20 academic year.

Something else more personal about yourself?

I am secretary and publisher for Rugby Archaeological Society and was involved in the excavation of the Roman settlement of Tripontium. I enjoy travelling the world, looking after my garden, painting and drawing. I have three grandchildren, Jacob born Christmas 2016 and Marcie and Leah born in July and August 2019 respectively.

Something you have learnt recently?

Draft real ale tastes so much nicer than bottled beer – I knew that all along but it is great to find out again now the pubs are open.

Something you would like to learn over the next few weeks or months?

I hope I will find that all staff and students across the Coventry University Group are as keen on academic integrity as I am, when we introduce the revised strategy and procedures from September 2020.
